| Sierra Microwave
Technology was founded in 1985 in Sacramento, California. The company, from the beginning,
developed a reputation for producing very reliable parts for the military and space
industries. Very wide frequency bands, low loss performance, and
exceptional quality were what set Sierra apart
from its competitors. In
1992, Sierra relocated to Georgetown, Texas to take advantage of the lower operating cost
in that region. Sierra spun off its amplifier group prior to moving to Texas. This allowed
a concentration on the product lines which had always formed the core of Sierras
business: Isolators, Circulators, Equalizers, Filters, and Pin-Diode Switches.
Our 20,000 square foot facility was designed to optimize productivity
and a heavy investment in CAD, manufacturing, and test equipment
together with Sierra’s advanced designs helped us develop our reputation
as a supplier of parts of the highest quality and performance. Our quality
program conforms to MIL-45208A and MIL-STD-45662A. |
